Imagine a weekend full of learning and idea-sharing that brings
together the growing family of NBL Tracks under one roof. That’s what
the NBL’s annual Competition Congress is all about.
The
NBL’s annual Competition Congress brings together the family of NBL
Officials, Track Directors, State Commissioners, and members together
with the Board of Directors and Staff to help inform and educate our
tracks about our exciting programs and services. In addition, the
yearly gathering serves as the platform in the voting process for the
NBL Board of Directors.
NBL
offers a wide range of seminars and training sessions to help educate
and prepare our key officials for the new season. During the weekend’s
gathering, the NBL presents more than $60,000 in awards and grants back
to our tracks and athletes each year — a win-win situation for everyone.
The
NBL conducts a wide variety of seminars to help all of their volunteers
run their state and local programs more efficiently. The seminars given
covered a wide range of topics. Being a volunteer, track maintenance,
refereeing, clerking, computer clerking, promotions and public
relations, and medical training are just a few of the many topics that
are offered by the NBL at the 2009 Competition Congress. Each and
every volunteer who attends Congress walks away with valuable
information to take back to their local program.
