Bob Warnicke

Bob Warnicke

Bob played a very active role in NBL BMX for 10 years and was very well known for his leadership role and many efforts in promoting the sport. Bob was instrumental in getting NBL BMX televised on ESPN2. He was a cruiser rider, NBL track representative, district commissioner, treasurer, state commissioner and served on the NBL Board of Directors. Bob was an all around good guy. In his memory, the NBL Scholarship program was fondly named after him, the Bob Warnicke Scholarship Program. As Doug Luden put it, “He (Bob) taught me to chase my dreams, but that education is important no matter what a person wanted out of life. That is why the scholarship that was created in his name is so appropriate. It combined his love of BMX and his insistence on education.”
