The SSA Helps feed 48 families for Thanksgiving

On Sunday at our First Qualifier weekend on November 14 & 15, 2009, Florida held a special “Turkey Open” race. We charged only $5 for the event and all riders who made the main got a 14lb Turkey to take home. The event was a huge success, with 140 rider participating, that lead to 3 of the groups of having Quarters! The event was the brain child of Alice Bixler and the Sarasota track, and this will probably be the first of many Florida “Turkey Opens”. This was a great event and the kids had a fantastic time.
