Roadrunner Nationals
Reno “The Gambler” Tafoya with his first National trophy.
From Track Director and new Board Member, Robbie Tafoya:
What a weekend we had and what fun! I was so happy to meet each and every one of the riders and talk with most for at least a little bit. It was not a big National moto-wise, but the competition was great and the track was perfect to say the least. Sunday was one of the fastest races I think I have ever been part of. We raced the weather and won this time thanks to the great direction of the NBL Staff to make the decision to do a two-moto transfer and no break before main.
All in all, it was a great weekend and everyone was happy. The big picture is for the future, and NBL has shown that they are here to support us and bring the west to NBL. We may be a small town out in the middle of nowhere as someone blogged, but we sure can make a show of however big or small the race may be. I have no doubt that this is just the start of great things, and the NBL is committed to us and we will be building new tracks in as many areas as possible.
Thanks again to the Disney Give A Day, Get A Day program. They were great to work with and plenty of help for all of us. Thanks to the sponsors and crew for a great race weekend and here are a few pics for you.
