NBL Cuts Price for Second Licenses & Entry Fees

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NBL CUTS PRICE FOR SECOND LICENSES & ENTRY FEES

Half price for second license or entry fee with purchase of class or Cruiser license or entry

HILLIARD, OH (Jan. 12, 2010) — The National Bicycle League will be implementing a fee decrease for members wanting to purchase a second license or entry in addition to their respective class or Cruiser license or entry fee. The new policy will allow members to purchase a new class or Cruiser license or renew for half price if they have already paid full price for their other license, it will also give half off a class or Cruiser entry fee if a full price entry fee has been purchased by that rider at a National or Regional.

For example, a 14 Expert who has already purchased their license ($50), may purchase a Cruiser license for half price ($25). Similarly, a 30-34 Cruiser rider with their full price license may purchase their class license for half price. The same applies for Regional and National entry fees. This policy applies to both new licenses and renewals.

The new policy for license discounts will be retroactive to January 1, 2010, while the entry fee discounts will take effect at the Southern Charm Nationals, February 13-14. The policy will be in effect until December 31, 2010.

NBL CEO Gary Aragon says, “By offering this discount, we are hopeful it will encourage more of our members to engage in more than one class and have more opportunities to enjoy the sport. This discount is just one step towards making BMX more accessible which is part of our overall mission.”
