After the Southeast Regional Championships and Last Chance Qualifier, Scott Bunch and his 5 Rookie son, Scott Jr. were heading home to Nashville and stopped to get gas. What they saw next was hard to miss: 7-foot NBA basketball superstar, Shaquille O’Neal!

Shaq was pleased to take a picture with Scott and asked to hold the trophy. As you can see in the photo, Scott was reluctant to let him hold it after working hard for his perfect weekend in 5 & Under Rookie. Shaq said he loved BMX and said it was great getting kids active and into sports at a early age and watching them excel. Shaq was a great guy.

The last thing he told Scott was to do good in school and keep his grades up and keep riding BMX, then he gave him a fist bump bye. His fist was the size of Scott’s head! Oh yeah, in the photo, Shaq is on the left!
