Woodward Park BMX at Family Film Festival
Another Great Recruiting Tool Being Used at Fresno!
From Ryan Garcia:
“Brett had done some research and found out about the Family Film Festival that Regal Entertainment does during the summer. I believe this is the sixth year they have been running the program. The family film festival runs for nine weeks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Families can go to selected Regal cinemas and watch a number of selected movies for free. The free movies are the first movies played for the day.
Brett came to our Director Randy Cooper to see if we could make this happen because we needed $3,000 to have a booth set up for the nine weeks with NBL and info for our local program. We can staff the booth on the film festival days and six selected weekends and every day in between our info would be there for people as they walk out the theater.
Randy contacted Berry Bauer who owns a local sporting goods store. The bike shop is Herb Bauer and they are our local bike shop and half of the shop is dedicated to BMX. I think that’s awesome. Herb Bauer donated the $3,000 we needed to participate in the film festival. They also donated a bike and skateboard that we are going to raffle off at the end of the summer. The entry form is gonna help us create a database where we can contact people about joining the NBL Family. Today after the Jump 2 Jump Demo, Brett and Peggy went to the theater just before the movie was over to pass out info as people were on their way out. Brett said he passed out another 150 flyers today. In one day, we gave out 674 NBL tri-fold flyers. That’s pretty good exposure for the NBL and our local program.”
Keep up the good work in Fresno, guys!
